No. Your wallet holds and manages your crypto. The kit is for creating a durable physical backup of the recovery phrase generated by that wallet.
Which wallets does it work with?
It is designed for standard 12-word and 24-word recovery phrases generated by compatible software and hardware wallets.
Do I need engraving experience?
No. The included practice plate lets you learn the pressure, spacing, and feel of the tool before working on your recovery plate.
What should I do if I make a mistake?
Stop and check whether the word is still completely legible before continuing. For a significant error, we recommend starting over on a new plate, and removing legibility of any completed words on the mistake plate with the engraver.
Should I photograph or type my phrase during setup?
No. Keep your recovery phrase away from cameras, notes apps, cloud storage, and connected devices. Complete the process privately and offline.
